![]() Suseenthiran's Paayum Puli is one such film! The movie starts of with the usual commercial scenes that you find in any film. Vishal's role as Jayaseelan is nothing special and could have been enacted by any other actor. I usually find Kajal Aggarwal to be annoying, but in this film she was not bad. Samithurkani has once again been wasted after MASS, although he has a little bit more scope than MASS. ![]() It's a shame to see that an actor with so much potential has not been utilized properly. One of my other favourite actors, Jeya Prakash has also been given quite a limited role. I found a lot of reviews saying that the comedy and romantic scenes interfere with the script. Surprisingly, this was not an issue for me. I felt that in these aspects Suseenthiran did a fair job but where the film really fails is the second half. Suseenthiran overloads the film with a lot of unwanted elements and there is no intelligence in the script. Towards the climax, the film really tests your patience and you start wondering when it will end.Įven the investigation scenes are quite dull and lack the momentum needed to keep the audiences engaged. Even with its so called twists and turns the film will make you cry. It's high time Vishal starts taking responsibility in selecting some solid scripts. Let's just say he probably needs to go on a good break and come back fresh. On the technical front, this film is good and the one who probably deserves the most praise is D Imman (music director). The songs have all been picturized really well with foot tapping melodies. Kajal looks her best in all the songs, and particularly stands out in the first song Yaar Indha Muyaalkutty. Cinematography by Velraj is also sharp and saves the film from becoming a completetorture. The background score by Imman is pulsating and makes you wonder why Suseenthiran couldn't have done more justice to the screenplay and plot.
